Fresh, summer wedding style

Summer wedding season is upon us and who can resist the combination of beautiful, warm (we hope) weather, clear skies, and flowers in full-bloom? I hope these images inspire some imagining of the beautiful outdoors on such an occasion!

All bridal gowns are ones that i currently have in stock, and they would be gorgeous no matter what the venue--from the semi-formal Eliza J at right

To this really regal, formal Maggie Sottero gown....
And for the more fresh, modern take, this one shoulder Mori Lee....

If you know of a local bride, let her know that my local price is lower, since i do not have to pack and ship.

We also have this long-sleeved Maggie Sottero gown (actual gown at left) I have added the two stock photos, because they are similar styles, but i have not yet found the exact stock photo for this gown. It is slightly off the shoulder with crystal beading on the lace. This dress could be modified to cap sleeves by an alterer very easily. Bridal size 10, pre-owned in perfect condition.

The Vintage Bride...Channeling your Inner Starlet..

Not every woman wants to look  traditional on her wedding day. Some are more sophisticated than sweet--Think Lana Turner or Rita Hayworth, instead of Elizabeth Taylor.  This is especially true when the Bride is past the first blush of youth.  No matter what your age or situation, EVERYONE wants to look their best and most beautiful on their wedding!
Here are some photos for inspiration on achieving a drop-dead gorgeous look...

When Old Hollywood Glamour is your style...

Above is the true vintage look and below is the contemporary equal (Paula Rooney Brides)

Simple Details Make All the Difference... But you also have to use caution with this style.  A plunging neckline may be more appropriate for a cocktail party, not a church.  And, a lingerie inspired, bias-cut gown requires special undergarments to achieve that smooth, flawless look. Frankly, bias-cut satin on anyone of a fuller figure is not the best choice.  If you are a larger size, or full busted, try looking for a layered, A-line gown with beading or draping for a more flattering look.

Fabulous!!

New this week!  Paloma Blanca ivory strapless gown, with crystal detail and back interest.  Beautiful duchess satin, NWOT, size 10/8.
I will have these on a model soon, so you can see better pictures of it on a person. The wet weather has precluded us getting good photos of our recent inventory of gowns.  We have had to cancel shoots more than once due to the weather. I don't want to take a chance of damaging any dress while photographing, since i want them pristine for their intended bride!    If you live locally, give me a call or an email and i would love to let you try on anything in my collection.
